STIFFING THE STAFF.... VA. BEACH OCEANFRONT EMPLOYESS TIRED OF EVENT GOERS STIFFING HARDWORKING WAITSTAFF

Weekend event and marchers are notorious for ordering food and asking for 3 or 4 rounds of drinks and then stiffing the waitstaff says long term oceanfront waitress. "I worked a long shift today with tables of 5 to 10 people and 3 of them attending the local march just flat out stiffed me." 

There seems to be a growing trend of entitlement and disrespect for hardworking waiters and waitresses at the oceanfront. Its becoming a growing complaint among workers. "We are giving the best service we can and for some reason they just stiff us on purpose. Everyone knows you are suppose to leave a tip. We only make a couple dollars and hour salary so we all know they are doing it on purpose just to be mean." 

This writer use to be a waiter and knows how tuff it can be. Thats how you make your living and you try your hardest to please your customers. When they stiff you on purpose it really ruins your day. When you stiff a hard working waitress or waiter you are really deciding to make a very cruel point, "That you feel they should be your slave and serve you for free." 

I hope everyone reading this understands and stands up for our hardworking staff down at the beach. If visitors coming to our beach to march and use our tax paid for facilities they really should treat their waitstaff with respect. I mean if your marching for rights and then violation someone else's rights, well you obviously don't practice what your preaching. 

If you can't tip our friends and you don't respect our beach we won't want you to come back to foster your agenda...

Lets all stand up for our local guys and gals, give them good tips and show them we care about the job they are doing....
